“Storytelling is the social and cultural activity of sharing stories, often with improvisation, theatrics, or embellishment. Stories or narratives have been shared in every culture as a means of entertainment, education, cultural preservation and instilling moral values.”

Are you a client looking to tell a bold, compelling story to your audience?  Do you appreciate what it takes to make great stories come to life?  If you can say yes to both of these questions, Christina Marie and her team are a good fit.

A Bigger Picture

Christina is a Sacramento Native who advocates for the Arts and Human Rights.  She serves her non-profit, Capitol INDIE Collective, Inc (501c3) as a volunteer Executive Director and mentor to several Artists.  She regularly creates messaging and documentary support for issues throughout the Northern CA region.

Her Story

Christina Marie is a multiple award winning Writer, Producer, Director, and Actress with over 30 years experience in the entertainment business. She obtained her Theater Arts degree from Sacramento State with a Minor in Music. After working on the stage for several professional theaters, she converted to film with “Man on the Moon”, working alongside Jim Carey and Courtney Love.

Christina’s Writing/Directing/Producing experience includes developing 8 Features for her project, INDIEWOOD, a planned community development based on the needs of the Creative Class and the Indie Film Industry; and the execution of “Dance of the Marionettes” and “THE DARK”. Christina has also produced several shorts, commercials, & live events at Arco Arena, Oakland Coliseum, and Westfield Plaza.

Her Non-profit, Capitol INDIE Collective, Inc, serves the community by making Entrepreneurs out of Artists. Capitol INDIE nested a portion of the Mayor’s initiative “For Arts’ Sake” by creating and distributing the NorCal Film Festival Guide, strengthening Film Festivals with INDIEblush Magazine.

She looks forward to delivering “The INDIEWOODbus”, a Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead project; and INDIEhäus, a live/work/play space for Creatives.

In her spare time, she works with government offices in an effort to bring more sustainability to Independent Film making in Northern CA. Her most recent demonstration of supporting the community was the creation of a short Documentary that accompanied a Federal Grant application securing Millions of Federal dollars to repair the Water Treatment Plant.

Christina won “Transformational Leader of the Year” in the category of Independent Film from T2 Communications in 2011; was listed as one of five, “Entrepreneurs to Watch” in Sacramento News and Review (April 2012); and was highlighted as one of three Producers worldwide at the American Film Market in Santa Monica in 2013 for her accomplishment of setting the filmmaking record of “Fastest Shot Feature” with her Paranormal movie:  THE DARK (shot in 58 hours, beating Roger Corman’s record from 1960 with shooting “Little Shop of Horrors” in 72 hours).

Why Produce Film in Northern CA??

This is a trailer I produced for my screenplay UNBROKEN.  When asking, “Why NorCal?”  I can definitely say it’s because of the LOCATIONS and PEOPLE.  Northern CA has some of the best untapped talent and resources in the world.  Please enjoy the work of my team all located in NorCal.
